This version of the training video for the Battered Immigrant Women's Project is basically complete except for the following things. Below is a list of what's yet to be done and some issues that I need advisement on:
1. English overdubs of the Spanish-language interview clips. For now, in this version, you'll see very hastily-created subtitles just so that non-spanish speakers will know what the clip is. It's very labor-intensive to create real subtitles so this will have to do. The most important thing is for the Task Force to approve the use of these specific clips and confirm that there are no other spanish-language interview clips that are really desired to be included. I think the selection of these clips make for good examples and reinforcement of the concepts that need to be conveyed. Please let us know if you agree. Once we get approval we will then be able to go ahead and record the overdubs. At that point there will not be a possibility of changing or adding to the text of the overdubs, as it would be too difficult to go back and arrange time with the voice talent. The same goes for the narration (see next item).
2. a small amount of voiceover narration in 2 places. The text of the narration in those 2 spots is, again, displayed in a sloppy over-tittle for now. Please confirm that the text is factually correct and on-message. Also, are there other explanatory facts that a narrator should be explaining?
3. A little audio cleanup of background noise, and color correction.
4. Credits are missing. Please advise how the closing credits should read.
