Film is dead

Film is dead, but not because of Inland Empire. Directors like Robert Rodriguez and George Lucas have brought mainstream attention to digital "filmmaking" before Lynch ever did. But what I appreciate about Inland Empire is that Lynch used a consumer level camera and primarily existing light sources to make a major motion picture, something "indy" filmmakers are forced to do because of budgetary constraints. And he did it to great effect... the movie looks very good.
