The file is "Beautifully Controlled Study of Provincial Melancholy". Don't ask me about the title, I didn't write it. This was a friend of mine thesis film for her MFA.
I was lucky enough to be able to shoot 35mm. I was an adventure. This is just the picture lock, I do not believe the sound design was complete when I got this version. It's a bit artsy, if you couldn't tell from the title.
I don't think the director ended up doing much with it, which is a shame. I think it was in one or two festivals.
It was my first try at 35mm. So it's not super-duper, I feel good that I exposed it correctly.

Anyway Jason, film isn't dead. It will be around for decades to come. It will still be too expensive. In about 30 years or so it will be like 16mm and Super 8mm where there will be minor folks out there determined not to let it die. Don't get me wrong, I love video, and HD looks damn good. Video has enabled the masses to express themselves and tell stories main stream media doesn't...sounds familiar huh.

BUT NOTHING compares to film, it's a visceral thing.

Hope you enjoy the film, once again, I warn you it's ARTSY.
