On Election Day, Francesca, Mary Charlotte, and I spent all day volunteering for Video The Vote. We had an interesting day, documented a few minor "problems", and uploaded 4 clips to the Video the Vote site. ( see http://videothevote.org/video/?state=AZ&tag=&year=2008&search=Search )

For our last "assignment" of the day we were joined by Jeff. We were dispatched to a polling place at Copper Springs Elementary school in Oro Valley where there were reports of a Border Patrol truck parked just outside the entrance to a polling place.

When we got there it was still there, and after a few minutes we found its driver. And had an interesting talk with him.

It was Jeff that did most of the talking while I held the camera, actually, tho i chimed in a couple times.
anyway thanx for your suggestion. David - It's good to learn more about how to deal with "problem people" and improve confrontations with them - although it's my opinion that the dude really didn't want to understand. This is made clear by the fact that even after it was fully explained he still persisted in repeating that he didn't understand why anyone would be intimidated. Which I would not classify as "the best of intentions." (and actually, I would say I didn't have the best of intentions either. I was clandestinely taping him to try to catch him in wrongdoing!)
