Last summer, I got paid $120 to work a few days as a grip and sound guy for a production crew from Montana. They were hired by my supervisor, Kirk Astroth (the Director of AZ 4-H Youth Development), to produce a science-based short for kids about desert life. Kirk is also behind a larger project called TerraPod. Here's the final piece.

Pan Left Productions, in collaboration with the Pima County Library, mentored youth this summer to produce and direct video trailers of their favorite books. The free screening includes videos for eight books and behind-the-scenes footage and interviews. Enjoy complimentary snacks and mingle with the filmmakers after the show.
