Daniela P. Ontiveros is a filmmaker and media arts educator. She graduated from the University of Arizona in Media Arts in 2005 after completing her first documentary film, The Heart And The Monster: A Journey to Cananea. She has directed numerous short films that include experimental works, music videos, documentaries and narratives. Over the last five years Daniela has taught technology courses for women through the Pima County Women’s Commission, blogging at Access Tucson, and courses in media production and media literacy through Pan Left. As the first co-teacher of the City High School As We See It Course, Daniela was instrumental in developing the course curriculum.
